It is very frustrating when your child seems to do everything else but talk. You are constantly in search of that elusive 'Mommy' or 'Dada' that seems to never come. Luckily, there's a way out. Use BabyTalk - I specifically created it for my son and not only did he start talking, he also started expressing. We all learn to talk by hearing sounds and trying to imitate them. We as adults don't give a second thought to this activity. But for a little child, these tasks are not trivial.
They don't understand what it is that we are talking about since they have no context of what's going on; neither are they experts at making sounds. Top it all off with all the competing stimulus that distracts them all the time; and you can see the difficulties they may face with saying simple worlds. BabyTalk helps you tackle all these problems for your kiddo - and more.
The simple and intuitive interface of BabyTalk is completely clutter free; making it possible for your child to concentrate on a single word at a time. Images of animals or birds naturally attract little one's attention and make her interested. The touch interaction to tap and slide gives her feeling of being in control. And finally, she can listen to same consistent sound again and again till she masters the vocalizations. Use BabyTalk as you would read a book. Pick a time of day - say after dinner time, and sit with your child and BabyTalk.
Always start BabyTalk with some familiar sounds, like the animal sounds or birds - it will boost your child's confidence. When she is able to say some words, make the job harder by switching to a new book. Let the child explore entire book on her own - tap on any pictures she likes, move back and forth at her will.
Explore for about 15-20 minutes every day and within no time your child should start associating sounds with pictures; and she will start repeating them for you. The effect is best when your child starts babbling, but isn't yet capable of saying words clearly. If you want to help your child even more, there is BabySpeech. It is specifically designed for children which speech difficulties.
